Drop of water in the base

I just sprayed some Nason Ful-Thane and I got a water drop on the base coat. After thinking about it the only thing it could have come from was the outlet on the respirator. How should I go about getting this out? Tackle it like any other junk in the paint? Sand and reshoot the area or do I have to do the whole panel? It fell after the first coat flashed and I was applying the second coat.

Oh yea, I done that.
Just wipe it off gently, lightly scuff and base another coat on it.
Shouldn't be a problem, as long as it's dry.

Scode.... I would check the air lines for water. A few years ago, I had problems with water in my lines. They didn't appear to be leaking air, but I got water out of the fitting at the gun. I have talked to others that had the same thing happen to them.

To repair mine, I did just wipe it off lightly after a few minutes and shoot another coat over it, before clearing. No problems with the finished product.

When I take my respirator off between coats
(after leaving the paint area) I wipe out my
respirator because it does build up with condensation
and then leak out when I'm leaning over.
I have had that happen a lot when it's hot.

That AND,
Your GLOVES if you use them.
One of the WORST places for water as they make your hands sweat like crazy.

i keep Kleenex in the booth. i twist one to a point and keep it ready. lot of sweating here in central texas. you can suck up a couple drops and go on.

you can put a small piece in your mask.

It definitely came from the mask. The drop shrunk up a bit (water dried) but itís still noticeable.

Be thankful you're not using water-borne base like I do.

A simple bead of sweat can really ruin your day :(
