Post Dropped/Lifted Spindles For Diesels?

Does anyone know if the Spindles for an 85 Suburban are the same between the 1/2 ton and the 3/4 ton? Here is my dilema. I am wanting to lift preferrably, but lower as another option this Suburban. Right now it is considered a 3/4 ton with a 6.2L Diesel. I am hoping I can put a Ford 460 in place which would change weight and the issues that make lifting or lowering a Diesel Suburban no longer relevant..(At least that I know of) In other words, no one makes anything for lowering or lifting 3/4 ton Suburbans with Diesel engines.
All help is appreciated in advance.
J

Head over to www.fullsizechevy.com or www.customtruckshowcase. I'm pretty sure those guys would know.

In the mean time, I'm moving this to the suspension forum....

Cool

Ignore the diesel label. You can use 1/2 ton spindles and ball joints and raise or lower to you hearts content. The same with 1 ton spindles. The 1/2 ton setup will convert you to 5 bolt wheels and the 1 ton will keep your 8 bolt wheels. If you want to raise the sub give a call to an off road shop and ask about their pre-runner suspensions.

The ! ton spindle is different from a 1/2 ton also the ball joints are different.

I've converted several 3/4 tons to 1 ton dually, by just changing the spindles and rear end.

I used bell dropped spindles on my 3/4 ton, and they were different part #s than a 1/2 ton, I also cut one coil off.
