Dropped Spindles
I have a 69 Camaro that I just finished doing a ground up restoration. I replaced the front suspension with Global West A-Arms and took in for a front end alignment. The shop said they got it as close as possible and I shouldn't have any problems with tire wear in the future. The car came lowered when I got it 20 years ago, and I've gotten used to it, and besides, it looks cool. The front coils were cut to achieve the lowering, changing the stock steering geometry. My question would it be better to replace the stock height spindles with new coil springs and dropped spindles to achieve the stock steering geometry? Would I be better off to raise the car back up to the stock height?
