Dropped a transmission on my finger.
Back on June 1st I was working on my friends '53 Chevy pickup. So his dad says "hey lets take the transmission out". I kept saying to myself I shouldn't get under that truck, because they didn't have the right equipment. As usual I didn't listen to myself. We cut out the floor pans,then my friend and I got under the truck and starting pushing up and his dad was pulling. Then all of the sudden the transmission fell and smashed my left ring finger between it and the frame. What it did was,completely crush the the tip of my finger,the bone popped out of the nail bed,and cut my finger pretty bad. I know this was kind of lengthy. By the way im 15,so at least im starting young.

Damn son, I didn't want to hear that! Made my liver quiver...Next time your over there you should smash his thumb with a ball peen hammer and say ya see how it feels einstein...eeeeesh that brings back to many bone crunching frame pinchin memories for me...I'm off to read some jokes whhhhhhew...

if it makes you feel better, i lost my first finger nail on a late 80's awd astro van. nuthin cool about that.

Watch out,protect your hands.Break um to bad you won't be workin on cars no more.
When ever I work on something I make sure my hands will be in a safe place(usualy my pockets while I con someone else into fixing my car).

now what you gotta do is get yourself some vehicle revenge so you need the biggest sledge hammer you can find & go lace it into the nearest rice burner you can find! won't help the finger but does bring a biiiiiig smile to your face, & when you're locked in the local police cell you'll be thinking twice about crushing ya finger!

Welcome to the club, 68. If you continue in the car hobby expect many more banged-up fingers, skun knuckles, etc. Also, don't expect to have much money left for food, rent, and other frivolous things like that after buying those much-needed goodies for that hot rod. Have fun !
