dual exhaust on gran marquis help?

will adding dual exhaust on a 83 gran marquis help? it is bone stock, v-8, single exhaust as of now.im looking for mileage mainly

It will make a small improvement, add headers to that change and you will be much happier with the results.

MILAGE???????

How much more milage do you want out of that car?? i would start by making sure the tune up was good then if that isn't good enough i would by somethiong smaller I have a 93 saturn 4cyl. with 221,xxx on it and still get over 30mpg, and at least its not a geo.

its for an aunt's car. i am trying to squeeze some more mileage out. i am also going to put in a spare jacobs i have laying around.

also, what stock type headers will fit? i am looking for factory ones from any year. it has a 351, dont know if cl. or windsor. the car is an '82

milage

you are trying to get milage out of the wrong car... with all the money you spend on exaust and all will maybe get you 1-2 miles more per gallon now you do the math to figure out how long it will take to off set the price of the exaust to get your money back. the best thing to do is do a really good tune up or get the geo metro.
