Dual Oil Filters - Worth it for Daily Driver?

The engine in question will be a mild 454 and will be used in a daily driver because of my exhaust clearance I need to run a remote oil filter and I'm wondering if its worth the expense, space, maintenance, xtra parts etc. to go with a dual filter setup or stay with a single remote filter.

What kind of oil lines have people run using a remote filter? I'd like to use something retro - copper maybe?

Thanks

Dual Oil Filters-Worth it for Daily Driver?

I've got a remote oil filter on my car but just use a single filter, theres no room for a double, but with a quality oil filter such as the K&N,theres probably no need for to use a double set up,just extra expense at oil change time.As far as lines,I use high pressure rubber with heat protection between the block and headers and also have a couple of home made brackets to keep the lines from hitting the headers.I also use wire loom in the engine compartment to protect the lines from sharp edges.

re: Dual Oil Filters - Worth it for Daily Driver?

Go to www.amsoil.com and read up on their double filter. At least their system uses a standard filter then a filter that will clean the oil even better. It's made specifically for long drain intervals though. In fact, I don't think there is a drain interval with that type system -- you just replace the filters and top off every 5K or so miles and never drain the oil. That's possible for two reasons: synthetic oil is used and a "fine" fileter is also used. With EFI it's a no brainer, but they designed that system for carb and diesel engines... as far as I recall. Things change: look it up on their site!!

Ayuh,.........

I don't think it's even Possible to Over-Filter Oil..........

The More it's Filtered,... The Longer the motor will Last,.......Period........
