dual pickup distributor for a 440 ?
who makes a dual pickup distributor for a 440, factory or aftermarket? if factory what was the applications they came in.

or if you have built your own could you give me info on parts you used to accomplish this.

I remember seeing a dual pickup in a mopar back in the day. Just cant remember what it was in.
It may have been in one of the early lean burn systems in the early 80s.
One for start and one for run. IIRC it was not in a Big block though. The dizzy plate may interchange though. Just a thought.

Chrysler stopped building 440 s in 78 IIRC. Seems they had an electronic ignition that had 2 pickup coils in it that was built for the 440.
Check in the salvage yard in the 1 ton trucks and old motorhomes.
I think the dual system had dual ballast resistor also.
