Duece Highboy 2" or 3" chop?

My son and I are building a 32 highboy (Kilborne body) and he's leaning towards a 3 or 4 inch chop on the windshield with traditional type post. We're having trouble finding anything other than 2" chopped post and windshield frames. Do you guys have any feelings about windshield heigths and sourches for windshield frames? thanks Phil

i like the looks of a 2 inch chop but it`s your car, do it your way. it`s what looks good on the car that matters. the 2 inch chop is the most popular, could be why your not finding the others. the smaller the windshield may not be legal in some states. here in Penna you MUST have 7 inches of glass.
good luck & have fun building it. keep us posted on your progress. happy rodding!

You also have to think about more than "how will it look?". More important, "How will it look with ME driving it?". For instance, if you are a tall guy, that extra two inches could first off, look like heck. Secondly the wind will beat you to death. What seat are you running? Do you know how the seat will sit in the car and how high your head will be?

These are considerations that should be made BEFORE you deside on anything as far as windshield height.

Lobeck has a 3" windshield frame and upper stanchions.

It is super dialed.
