Post Dumb question - how to fill TH350 with lube?

This is a really dumb question but I'm new to US powerplants! - On my re-con TH350 I can't find a filler plug for the trans oil - only place I can think is to fill using the diptsick hole??? Is this what you guys have to use??
Please advise, thanks Limey

Yeah get one of those tranny fluid funnels (real long hose on it) and fill it up that way... I have only topped them off like that and it takes FOREVER!!!!

Limey, fillng through the dipstick tube may seem a little dumb, but that's better than any other place on the tranny when you consider where else you would locate a filler port with all that sheet metal in the way. But wait until you want to drain the fluid!! Unless your pan has been modified with a drain plug, you must remove the pan; big mess. But thats not too dumb either, since you normally only drain the fluid to change it and you have to remove the pan to change the filter. Any other time you are removing the pan for maintainance. You may want to consider installing a Drain plug (magnetic type if there is not a plate magnet already in your pan)

Trees; You are being too kind. There is a limit on being diplomatic, and you exceeded it. Not installing a drain plug in tranny case is #%$#$^(I%#$%^($@%& IGNORANT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks guys, looks like the dipstick filler is not so dumb after all. Luckily my 'crate' TH350 has come with a drain plug in the pan. Limey
