Dumpster dive compressor! electrical question

I scored a CH VT6300 compressor from a dumpster behind a Sears warehouse, it's mostly intact but it had a few damaged parts that I replaced.
The motor is a dual capacitor unit, but the start cap is missing and I'm having a heck of a time finding the correct value for it. Does anyone here have a similar motor they could check for me? The specs on the motor are:

Emerson Motor Division
Model T638XCCT 1233 MFG no. E01C
HP SPL Duty Cont Frame 56 Type T
Volts 120/240 HZ 60 RPM 3450 Ph 1
Amps 15/7.5 SF Output 2.25KW

CH bills this as a 5hp model, but the 2.25KW figure makes this a 3HP motor.
FWIW, the run capacitor is a 30uF, 370v unit from Aerovox.

IMO all Champbell Housfeld compressors belong in a dumpster :D That said, take that model no. to a sears service center and they should be able to pull up a parts list. Don't be surprised if that motor is history so don't spend a lot on it since you would be better off to find a good GE or Baldor if the rest of the compressor is in decent shape.

Sears and CH only sell the motor as a unit, they don't list the caps seperately but I know they're easy to find when you know the right value. The compressor is new (or it was when I recovered it a few years ago,) so I don't mind spending a few bucks to finally move it off of my "stuff to fix" pile. I'm not ready to junk the entire motor unless it destroys itself in a spectacular fashion.

CH may be famous for importing nicely packaged rubbish, but at least this unit was one of the earlier "made in the USA" variety.

Ok, I checked out back at the shop and sure enough we have one of those motors (lr63596) The cap you are looking for is junk on this one too, it is ruptured. It is 15 uf 370v but the rest of the numbers are unreadable, hope this helps.

Thanks for the info! I'm going to double check it just to be safe; do you think the Sears staff will notice me disassembling a motor in the showroom? Well, I have to test the nutdriver before buying it, dont I? :D
