Dupont ChromaBase BaseCoat tips

Hi guys

Have anyone using ChromaBase (BC/CC). Can you give me some tips?

My question is ChromaBase (BC) . I sprayed BC on my fender for more then 48hrs, but i didn't clear it.

According to Chroma Instruction Sheet said you can clear it after 24hrs..Can I clear it after 48hrs?

How long can you leave it up to before apply clear?

thanks

If you wait that long you will need to use a gray scotch brite and go over it to give it the tooth it needs for adhesion. We learned that in the refinish training program a long time ago. There are other brands of paint that have a longer window and we use those if not clearing that day.

Chromabase says 24 hrs MAXIMUM.
DuPont recommends to sand it all off and start over if you
wait more than 24 hrs.
Seems excessive, but that's what they say.
