Am trying to convert my da sanders to "dust free" mode and need a push in the right direction.

Basically am wanting to know what system works better. System 1 has the sander hooked up to an external vac source
System 2 has a self contained vac source or "Venturi" that collects the dust in bags.

Ive used the external vac source before which works good but thought the system was kinda bulky.
Is the self contained system good or just a good gimmick?? Thanks...Eric

This looks like the DA I have except mine is a Dynabrade but the snap-on may also be made by Dynabrade.

I used the collector on mine once and did not think it was worth the hassle.

I think if a person is concerned about this you go with a central or portable canister system.
