Looking for Dynamometer in central Florida. Want to get some numbers before I pull the motor to swap the tranny.
Im in Lakeland and dont want to drive too far. Gas is a big issue plus if I break something I dont want to have to pay a large tow bill.
that is definatly a sbc in a fiero. a friend of mine has also done that bad thing is he is eating stock trannys (the 125 i think) he went with the 4.8 or 4.9 caddy engine (pre northstar)
Its a 350 small block, bored 40 over with an upgraded cam. I bought it used so I dont know what parts are in it but its pretty strong.
The tranny is a stock 5 speed, I used a kit to mount the motor to the tranny. It required that I move everything over to the left about 3/8 of an inch and notch the frame at the right side. Not much just enough to get the alt belt off.
I installed a new edelbrock 600 carburetor this weekend because the Holley 650 double pumper was just too big and still had issues after a rebuild and renew.
I will probably have to drop everything out of it this winter and change the clutch out for a better one. The one in it is a Center Force but it is slipping in the higher RPM ranges. Holds great 1 - 3 but if I punch it in 4th or 5th gear it slips a little.
I'm thinking about putting a SPEC 3+ clutch in it, lots of peope have had good luck with it and the Fiero.

I will follow up on a few on the list. Two of them look interesting.
Getting 8 mpg with a 10 gallon fuel tank is a pain in the rump when you have to drive more than 60 miles anywhere.
2 here in Brandon, one is for motors only, one is drive the car on it.
