Dyno Sim

I have one and it is fun playing with it.To be accurate you need the flow numbers of the heads you are running.I was surprised at how close the sym was to actual dyno pulls that I have had.If you do not have the exact flow numbers you can average between the genaric heads that they have listed by comparing the two heads. It is not rocket science but it does help.

I found the computer dyno's to be inaccurate.A friend did mine on his Dyno 2000 program, complete with all the exact specs, heads, cam timing, etc.Compared to a real engine dyno, his figures were off by about 70-80 HP.I would not trust or believe any figures from a computer sim program. There is no substitute for the real thing if you want acurrate numbers.

Yes they are not right on the money but can be a aide in sorting things out.My dyno sim 5 was 30hp off. This was only on two engines. There is nothing like the real thing and track test are the rule.

I agree 100 %,they can be very useful in seeing how different combo's can perform, but not real world acurrate.
