E Curve MSD distributor input

What is the oppinion of this product? Any input would be appreciated . MSD has been a solid company for their multi spark boxes. My spring and wieghts in the factory HEI units have always worked well. Sometimes the springs get a little weak and it enters the curve too soon off idle. The vacuum advance can is not a problem to get it right , for me, when using manifold vacuum. That is my choice. Others go with a ported source. Does the MSD E curve distributor work well with a manifold vacuum source?

Thanks

You know, I've purchased one for my build only to be not able to use it as I changed course mid-stream-I think it's a great product, and from the posts that I've seen, the only issue is understanding how to set your advance curve (there are some Pots you have to set)-I also purchased a 6a to go with it, as the E-curve has built-in a Rev-limiter-

I haven't heard of any failures, although the idea that the Module could fail out in Bugtussle, Pennsyltuckey has crossed my mind-

I like that it will read vacuum down to about 4 in.-

That is a similar story that i have been told. They work great, but are selling it. Did these come on a crate engine or somwthing? Gets me thinking, but the price is half what they go for.

I had one and it left me stranded far from home!
the circuit board shorted out due to the slag that get slung off the rotor and cap contacts!
Its also a PITA to adjust right (the instructions are so confusing)
I bought a new unilite distributor and it worked great out of the box!

I've been running one for over a year now with a 6AL box and I can truthfully say I will never again own anything BUT an Ecurve. By far the best ignition investment I've ever made. You can set the total timing with engine idling, and then set your initial and curve with two rotary switches. Nothing could be easier. Fantastic piece!!

No, you misunderstood my Post-mine is still new-in-the-Box, never been used or installed. If I were still going that way I would use it, as I think they are a good piece-I've gone to a DIS system-
