Post eagle or scat

lets say you want to stroke a 350. (383) whats the opinions on either a scat or eagle rotating assembly. either way i it will be around $1800.00 for the whole set up balanced and all. any other possible manufactures putting out a good product? yes forged everything. bushed rods and flat tops.

You should be able to get everything a bit cheaper than that. I would get an Eagle crank form one of the ebay guys. They run about $350. Scat has some new ProMod type rods with 7/16 bolts. Under $300 on Ebay and they appear to be damned nice. I know you are going to hear use the eagles, but I beam promods are superior in strength to to H-Beam Eagles. As for the pistons Wiesco makes a good set for around $550. That puts you at about $1200 plus balancing.

Scats products are not american made they are just machined in the U.S. a lot of the other after market producers are the same way. most of these crank and rod cores come from China or Spain, some from Argentina or New Zealand

Go with Manley part #18002 you get the crank (2 piece rear main) 6" H-beam rods, forged flat tops, and file fit rings. The kit comes already balanced for the components they send you. All for about $1500 and the quality is first rate.
