Ear protection with tunes. :)

I am big on protecting my body while I work. I bought a pair of these as a Christmas present to myself a number of years ago. I have to tell you they are very good stuff. I have went thru a number of pairs being I am kinda hard on them but they are worth the money big time. They go for about $50 at the local ACE hardware store.

battery life ?

My wife bought me some last year for Christmas. . good hearing protection. My only complaint was the batteries don't last all day, In the summer I spend a lot of time on the diesel tractor. I have to carry a couple sets of spare batteries.

They do eat up batteries but I don't remember them being that bad. I would wear them every day out in the shop darn near all day long for weeks between changes. Maybe there is something wrong?

Yesterday while I was cutting up my Rambler parts car I had them on listing to vintage Rock by Zep and the Who, it was pretty good music for ripping that old car apart.

When I was out in the shop at work I had a couple of guys who loved to make noise, I mean REALLY make noise with blood curdling whistles and music I could only take for a few songs. It was like I was working in a friggin rain forest with all the noise. These headphones helped me keep my sanity.

OK Brian, once again the cave man needs to school the Modern Technician ,Now that youve found out how handy our outdated ,low tec sawzall is for cutting sheetmetal I 'll give you one more tip....well two....
first, theres a new fangled cd out called an MP3 that will hold over a hundred tracks of music on one CD insted of 12-15 no more changing out CD's all day...
second, theres a set a little better than a radio set it connects to the stereo system and its a wireless reciever so anything that your stereo plays can be transmitted to them Even those big, plastic discs called records can be transmitted to them....I cant stand listening to the same old repetitive stuff coming out of the radio Your only limitation is what music you can find to download from the internet......
OK,Ok
Three things....get some rechargeable batteries....... two sets, so one set always has a fresh charge.....
I jest ,of coarse....... , I've been using these for years too.....The only draw back is getting the sheet scared outta you when someone taps you on the shoulder....

Come on now boys, I'm not that bad. I do have a cellular phone with on of those fancy apps. I have the "Call people and talk to them" app.

My job just gave me a new phone.
Does way more than I need it to.
All I really need it for is phone support, get work e-mails, and call travel when I need to go somewhere right now.

Last night----I finally figured out how to make the GPS work. Had to take my boy to a town 100 miles away and needed to find a specific church.
Silly GPS took me to the local courthouse instead

I am very thankful to a woman who worked in a machine shop next to my body shop back when I was only about 28 years old and convinced me to start protecting myself, eyes, ears, lungs, knees, etc and I listened to her thank goodness I am still a stud today and will out fingertip pushup or chin up all but one guy in the shop. And I used to kick his butt but he was so embarrassed (he was only 25) he started seriously working out about a year ago and now he can beat me.

But yes, I have actually tried to look her up to thank her recently but can't find her, I am very grateful for her pushing me like she did.

At least it's "almost" if there is no hope then that sucks. But almost can almost be as good as some times.
