Early Ford steering column? PLEASE HELP ME!!!

Hey Guys, I'm pretty new at this so here goes my question. How do i identify what year my steering column is, at first i thought it was a 39-40 ford column but when i put the pitman arm from that year it doesn't fit. I do know that the original pitman arm had slight bend in it and both ends were female, does this sound familiar to anyone? PLEASE HELP ME!!!

Do you have any casting numbers or identifying marks or any thing else such?

I am afraid not. I still have to clean it up quite a bit, the casting number on the pitman arm isn't even recognizable. Haven't noticed any other numbers any where else either.
