So I got this oddball car, a 61'merc (edsel) comet. standard nonpower drums all around.. here's my question...does anyone know if later comet/falcon discs will fit my car? I'm sure someone makes a kit..but...I would rather not go that route...any help would be appreciated as finding info about this particular (in-between) year is rather challenging...

Kind of confusing isn't it? The only badging on the car is COMET...

I will have to check this out but later MUSTANG 5 lug disc system will work. You are going to have to upgrade a few 6 cylinder suspension pieces. And then it leaves you with the four bolt rear.

Well, I just got her(2 days ago) and for right now she's running the "thrift-power" setup w/a merc-o-matic.. and thats o.k. cause she's my daily for now.. I would like to start with discs up front (again daily driver) and then we'll see.. Im no good at following plans anyhow, all things flow according to the wims of the rodding gods...I got my 47' dodge project too (a lil more radical) so no huge plans w/ the comet right now..but, you know how that goes..I really dig this old rag tho..probably my favorite car I've ever personally owned... guess its time to go to ol' pull-a-part with a tape mesurer and micrometer...thanks for the input man...
