johnsquicks10,

The condition of quick shifting is usally caused by a govenor malfuntion. I have ground the counter weights down on the govenor so the shifts happened at higher road speeds. I was told that when you "open" the oil passages by drilling the valve body this can happen and that working with the govenor will cure the problem.

Good Luck

were the governor springs changed?

Did the valve body kit come with replace springs for the PR valve and shift vales?

Did the kit come with a small spring for the modualtor valve?

we did not really provide help.

If the trany shifted like this before , there could a governor problem ( sticky) or a weak spring on the 2-3 shift valve..... a common item.

the parts you added would not alter shift timing at all. Springs and weights do that.

When I have run across early or non-shifting problems in a TH tranny, the vast majority of the time I have found the governor was screwed up - broken springs, sticking body, etc. Easy to pull so crawl under the car and jerk it out!
