From the desk of Matt Cain, President/CEO of Eaton Compressor

Greetings,
My name is Matt Cain President and CEO of Eaton Compressor and Fabrication. I would like to share with the public a little bit about the history of my company and the values and principles that guide Eaton Compressor today.

At the age of nine I began working with my father who founded the company in 1977. I am proud of the growth and support of all my loyal customers over the years.

The dialogue on any forum is a great way for the buying public to obtain information regarding any number of products, with that said I would like to directly address the public with information regarding Eaton Compressor and Fabrication and our line of products.

Here at Eaton, we understand that quality is the key to growth and success and my goal is to offer the highest quality product at a competitive price, it’s that simple.

Here at Eaton we have experienced growth that will allow us to build a new factory and create jobs here in Ohio. One of my greatest levels of satisfaction is seeing my Eeployees together with their families and knowing that they rely on the jobs here at Eaton Compressor for their lively hood.

I would like to invite the buying public to compare my product with any product in the industry. In an effort to assist the buying public, I have put an attachment on my website, called the “product disclosure form”. Feel free to present this form to any company selling compressors, including us here at Eaton. This form will allow you to compare everything about the unit including where every component is manufactured and how it’s built inside and out.

If you would like to discuss this issue with me personally, feel free to call me any time at 937-***-****, this is my personal cell phone number! I will be more than happy to discuss this issue or any issue regarding Eaton Compressor and Fabrication.

Thank You and God Bless,
Matt Cain

Are you going to apologize, Mr. Cain?

Or are you just going to copy-paste some kindergarten spin onto this forum?

@302 Z28 re: currency

You might check out what wikipedia has to say about that, casting some doubt on the liklihood of that ever happening in the forseeable future....

Kind of reminds me of the old movie 'Cold Turkey'.

have 2 eaton comp

I have 2 of the 10hp screw type compressors. They are running in a work environment 60 hours a week for about 5 years. They ran around the clock for about 12 months. The compressors have never required any maint. except oil change. The electric motors have both required bearing replacement. The electric motor quality is lower than the rest of the unit, and they look a lot like ones that are made in China. Except for this bearing issue, they are good units and are certainly more efficient to run that the old Gardner Denver units they replaced. Parts service is fair at best.

DONT GET AN EATON,, at least not a 5hp 2stage. I purchased new approx 6 years ago. Replaced the first pump under warranty at 2.5 years.. Replaced pump head again at the 4 year mark. Problem seems to be in the cheap Chinese valves. My final fix was to find a Dayton Speedair compressor with a bad motor and use that pump on the Eaton. This Eaton was the model with the 2 cylinders inline, I am not sure if the "V" design pump is any better or not. My recomendation is to spend the $$ and get a Quincy..

Now, if anyone wants to question my honesty, here's another addition to my story. Sorry, this will take a few sentences to explain.

When I ordered my blast cabinet from Bad Boy Blasters, I told them what color I wanted, ..........then I called them back and said I changed my mind. Mark Cain asked if I was in a hurry, 'cause the next container that was coming in wouldn't be for a couple weeks. ( Must be coming from a long ways away,eh?) Anyway, I said no problem, I would wait. Then, he contacted me to ask if I would wait again, 'cause he was shipping a double unit to someone, and wanted to send them mine. I said no problem, as I originally had stated that I wasn't in any big hurry to get mine.

I have my stuff shipped to the UPS warehouse in Sweetgrass MT, and once it arrived, I went down to pick it up. Brought it home, and put the legs on it, used it and have been very happy with the unit.

A couple weeks later, I called down to the UPS warehouse to see if they had received another package, (unrelated to this transaction). They said yes, they had it, but they also had a large crate waiting for me as well. I asked them who it was from, and they said it was from Bad Boy Blasters.

I said they must have made a mistake, as I had already received mine. They said it definitely had my name and address on it. So, I called Bad Boy, and asked if they had sent me a second blast cabinet. They said no. I asked, are you absolutely sure? They checked records, and called me back to say no, they had not shipped a second unit.

I told them to check again, or had they shipped one to the same address for someone else? They replied that no, they had not. So........I was faced with the decision. Do I go down and pick up my new, and FREE blast cabinet, and keep my mouth shut? Or, do I tell them about it, so I can live with myself?

I'm sure that this transaction could be traced, ( just in case I were ever sued, and needed proof of my honesty), and yes, I did the right thing and called them back and told them they had a 2nd blast cabinet sitting there, and I was not going to take it. I told them I was not going to pay the return shipping either, as I didn't order two of them. I have no idea what happened to the 2nd cabinet after that. I gave them the contact info, and I assume they made their own arrangements. Honest injun.
So JVO, it's been about 5 years since your post, so maybe 7 since your purchase of an Eaton compressor. How about an update on it's performance and your satisfaction?
I'm just up the road from you in Vulcan county and also thought of having one shipped to Sweetgrass.
Prefer to buy a truly US or Cdn. built product but the Eaton features and warranty do have appeal.
About the only real Cdn. built unit would be a DV Systems for more bucks. Prefer to keep my dollars at home or with friends and neighbours and not send any of them to the far east.
