Ford HEI

That ebay add states the HEI is for a 351W not a 289-302 they are not the same.I have a 302 with a Pro/Comp HEI from ebay there's plenty out there ,I had an earlier Edelbrock intake and the heater hose outlet was so close it allowed very little room for timing adjustments.I got a smokin' deal on a polished Professonal Products intake so went with it,they have a water cross over in the front and rear so by using the rear for heater hose and Temp sender problem solved! You might have a problem with air filter clearance in order to run a 14"X3" filter I used a 1" carb spacer, but some use a 10" filter but I don't like the look so try the 14" you can always add the carb spacer.

I used a 1" air cleaner spacer ring to clear my HEI.

I have used these and they are good. the problem is they won't clear a hi rise intake like a edel, f4b, rpm,. i used them with performers. I like pertronix. Also make sure the lower unit is pinned on to the upper. i bought one on e bay from a guy in louisiana, and his slipped off, had to use jb weld then it worked. the one from skipwhite on e bay is pinned.
