I was looking at a Mint 1970 hemi superbird for $9500. The guy wanted you to email for details so I did and got a reply that if I sent $3000 then I could pay the rest on delivery. The next day I got a letter from eBay warning that I may be dealing with a scam. I knew it had to be a scam but I was curious.

There is another thread on this same subject. These people find pictures of a car, hijack someones ebay account, and list the car for cheap. Some of them are good enough at hijacking the account that they even flaunt the square trade agreement. If you really want a laugh go into the feedback and look at what kind of stuff they have been selling and it will be scarves or scented candles.
I always report them as soon as I see them and also contact the seller which can go right to the rightful owner of the account sometimes. |
