ECZ-9425-B 292 Intake Manifold

Looking to install a ECX-9425-B on my 292 in my 56 Ford f100. On the intake, there is a tube that runs from one side of the manifold to the other side which I believe is connected to a mushroom like valve. The tube is broken inside and the mushroom like valve has rust holes in it. I believe this is used to heat the choke on the carb. Sense I plan to use an electric choke, is there any reason why I could not remove it and plug the holes?

Let me know, thanks!

Thanks Oldbogie!

I didn't want to screw things up without getting the lowdown on it.
