Stuttering fuel gage won't be an issue

Throttle plate is not closing
too rich an idle and dribbling fuel
Perhaps idle was adjusted with engine cold and on one of the choke steps
Timing outta whack.

This Edelbrock replace a q-Jet??????
If so---you will need the adaptor plate to avoid vacuum leaks.

Perhaps the engine decided it did not want ported vacuum advance

Why the carb change???
Is this on the Pontiac---or the Chev pu??
The chevy may have a computer issue and does not like the non electronic Eddy carb.

Just tossin' crap out for ya.
If it is any consolation to ya---I'm still trying to get issues ironed out the Elky.
