Edelbrock Gear Drive!~!~ Help!!

helllo everyone, havent been on this site for quite somtime.. anyways herres my problem. I had a buddy who had a 327 and he burnt up one of his pistons so he junked everything to do with the motor, he just recently bought an edelbrock gear drive a month prior to the motor blowing up and he was throwing it away so i took it. I got the cam gear/ crank gear/ idler gear/ thrust button/ and a brass cam plate. When i took this from him i didnt look to remember the way the idler gear went on. heres my biggest problem: Does the bigger gear on the idler gear sit on the left or right side?? And theres a part that was grinded on it, one of my friends told me it was for the timing cover so the idler never slipped forward, does that face towards the block or towards the timing cover. Any answers will help thankyou!!!

I had the same problem with my Edelbrock gear drive and called their tech line. They faxed me the installation instructions. I think you can download it as well.
