Is it possible for you to take back the 625 square hole and get the right carb for the intake? It would work better if you had the spreadbore design on it being that was what the intake was made for.
If you decide to mount the 625 on there, be sure to check the secondary's
for throttle blade clearence on the adapter as the secondary's on the carb are just a little bit larger than the primary's on Edelbrocks.
