Edelbrock Performer head #60909

I was wondering in Edelbrock Performer Heads #60909 are port matched with Wiend Stealth intake?
My local dealer is out of stock with Performer Intake and can only provide me with Wiend? Should I try it?
Has any body tried this combination?

If you check out Edelbrock Performer Crate Engines (325-320 Hp) they have a 8.5:1 or 9:1 compression, I think that my short block which is equipped with TRW flat tops, will produce 9.5:1 or even 10:1 compression ratio with Edelbrock Performer 64cc heads? Do you think that my engine will produce more HP that the Edelbrock Crate engine with same heads and lower compression? Why didn't Edelbrock produce more cr with above heads?
I will appreciate any advises in this regard.

Thanks every one. I will use Edelbrock Cam kit # 350-7102 and Holley dual pumper 650 CFM is this a fine combo?

Thanks everyone.

Houman

Don't get the Performer intake. Get the Performer RPM or RPM Air Gap. The Performer doesn't flow enough up top to allow the heads to flow.

This is probably not much help but the engine in this Mustang I have just dismantled has 302 block, 347steel crank, edelbrock performer rpm intake, edelbrock performer heads 60259, 650 double pumper, msd electronic distributor, H beam forged rods, probe flat top forged pistons and clevite H bearings for heavy duty application. I have only run this engine for a short time at which point the cam gear retaining bolt fell out and destroyed the comp cam and lifters.
It revved like a chainsaw on nitro so thats only in the garage and not on the road. The components in the engine are well matched for performance if thats any help . The engine builder was careless to say the least, no loctite on cam gear retaining bolt or locking washer.
Cheers.

Don't use the Performer. Use a Performer RPM or RPM Air Gap or Weiand Stealth or Stealth Air Strike. (Really, any high-rise, dual-plane intake. It will make more hp and torque than the standard Performer).

Oops, I see you're in Iran. Sorry about saying "Air Strike".

Since you're in Iran, I'm not going to tell you to use an intake other than the one I already know is in your country; the one your dealer has.

To answer your question, it is a nearly 100% certainty the Edelbrock heads are not port matched to the Weiand intake. Weiand is owned by Holley, and Holley and Edelbrock are competing companies.

But don't worry; port matching isn't worth a lot of horsepower. As long as the port in the cylinder head isn't smaller than the port in the manifold, or otherwise mismatched, so that the intake charge hits a flat surface when entering the port in the head you'll be fine.

The Weiand Stealth manifold would be a good match for the Performer heads; it's exactly the kind of high-rise dual plane manifold everyone says you should use.

Can't help with the rest.
