EFI and manifold selection?

Hello,
Could someone answer me a question with regards to the RPM range of an intake manifold. I would like to put together a EFI setup and have a Victor Jr intake with injector bungs welded into it. My question is this: Edelbrock rate the Victor Jr. at 3500-8500 in a carburated setup, yet if you look at the EFI setup that Edelbrock sells, which uses the same manifold, is rated 1500-6500 RPM. WHat gives? Is it related to a air velocity having to pull fuel from a carb where as the EFI directly injects into each port? Help me understand.
Thanks,
Z

I am more than likely going to stand corrected on this but I belive that a manifolds operating range is dictated buy the lenght and size of the runner. A long runner(TPI) usually runs out of breath sooner than a short runner design. I would just buy the manifold that is going to fit you engines rpm range and have injector bungs welded in. Hope this helps a little?
