My EGR valve is not hooked up. The guy that put the engine in never did attach it or most of the vacuum lines. What is it hooked up to and is it neccessary? Could this be the cause of my stalling problem.
steve here the egr is the one that you have to bolts in it it has one round hole and one square between the chock and the vaccum advance you need to hook a vaccum line that has vaccum only when you open the trottle you need a egr so the cylinders run cool if you do not use it you will have to put a block off plate on it hope this helps gonzales67@msn.com
Thanks Steve. I will get a tee and hook it up tonight and let everyone know it it solves the problem. The hose on the EGR valve has a bigger diameter than the vacuum advance so I wan't sure where it should be connected and it was impossible to determine from all the vacuum diagrams. The truck was running hot the last time I took it for a long drive. This should solve that problem as well.
I am giving up on removing those caps for now. There is a parts swap meet coming up next weekend and I might get an older Quad.
