El Camino Mirror Help

Just wondering what mirrors would fit my 81 El Camino. I got the bullet style ones that were usually on them, BUT it originally came with manual mirrors on the LH and RH sides that looked like they were from the 70's? Problem is, I now have a hole in my driver's side door panel to make room for the cable from the bullet style mirror, and I'm looking into getting mirrors off of a Camaro/ Firebird because I like the triangular looks of those a lot more. Would they line up the same or am I gonna have to do some mods? i/e new gaskets etc?

Chevell Malibu is the same car and mirrors from those around the same years will work.

What years were those made though? I seem to have run ins with regular Chevelles a lot T-T

The chevelle Malibu of the same years is the same car. Its just that your Elcamino has a box area in the back. The mirrors will fit. I think if I remember right the sport model chevelle had the aerodynamic looking mirrors and that these were the same as the firebirds and camaros of the same years. Get out and do some junk yard searching and you will find what you need.
