I have an 80 Camino that I put an L 98 'vette engine in. We also swapped out the original differential for a posi unit out of a 1986 Monte Carlo SS. It fit perfectly. The only changes were the speeedometer gear and the spline on the rear of the drive shaft.

If you REALLY want the Ford 9 inch differential Currie Enterprises makes one for about $2200.00 that will fit your Camino. Their phone number is 714-528-6957 and they are located in Anaheim CA. You can also find them on the web at http://www.currieenterprises.com
