Question el camino suspension??

i am going to put 454ci motor in my '81 el camino . it was a v6 car , but now has a 305ci in it. what am i going to have to do to the front suspension to hold up the big block? change the front coil springs? the car will also see alot of strip time, so is there a suspension better suited for this. any help is graetly appreciated. thanks james

six cyl springs give better weight transfer try it before you change them align car with suspension at approximate height car is at as it goes thru traps.if drag only loose the front sway bar barely loosen the control arm bushing nuts{lock tight and or double nut if possible} anldd adjustable front shcks memrer drag strip only no street!!!!!! change rear springs with drag springs@adjustable shocks replace all control arm bushings and weld plates on bottom of lower control arms to strenght{sic} them.use a little thicker metal than arm good hunting
