Elec. or MSD

I have 68 427 chev with a full MSD-6 box,coil,and dist The car runs will until it gets hot.I dont mean running hot,but warm 30 mins. or so It will cut off and wont start until cool .I have changed the coil but no change,fuel pressure dont change. Can the dist.do this?

MSD box

If the box is located in a hot area. It will overheat. It is best located inside the car. If you have to locate it in the engine compartment. Keep it away from exhaust and as low in the compartment as possible. The closer to the front of the compartment the better.
