Electric gauge sending units.

I currently have electric water temp and oil pressure gauges in my el camino. Only thing I'm doing is changing out 1 1/2 inch Auto Gauge gauges for 2 1/2 inch Summit Racing gauges.

Will it be ok to leave the sending units I have in place?

More than likely not, if the ohms are the same yes but if they are not, the gauges will not read right. You should get the sending units with the gauge I would just change them.

yeah, do it right or don't do it at all.

It was just wishful thinking.

I'd try them with what you got. If they were off by a lot I'd change them then.
