Electric Seats

I took the front seats (power) from a 1993 Lincoln Mark VIII and plan to install them in a 63 Mercury Comet S-22. I have tried to hot wire the seat motors but had no luck getting anything to move. I need advice on how to wire this six-way power seat in this old car. Maybe where I can find a wiring diagram and the best source for power supply to them. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

re: Electric Seats

Each seat should have (3) motors, (1) for each function.
Each motor should have (2) wires. To test the motors temporarliy connect 12 volts to these wires using a 30 amp fuse in series with the + wire from the battery.
The motor should run in one direction unless it is at the end of it's travel. There may be a travel limit switch will shuts off the power at the end of travel.
Then reverse the leads. The motor should run in the opposite direction.

The attached sketch shows wiring of a relay controlled DC motor that should work for your application
