electrical short?
![]() We are working on my son's 93 4.6 L Grand Marquis. The alternator burned out and killed the battery. We replaced the alternator, battery, battery post clamps and the voltage regulator plug. With the car running, we are showing a charge at 12.16-12.18. When the headlamps are turned on we only get a charge showing of 11.95-11.97. I don't know what else to diagnose to figure out this short. Could someone help with suggestions, please? Thank you, Mickey and Minnie Mechanic and computer geek son |
