electronic ignition

Hello to all, I have a 67 Chrysler with a 440. A friend gave me an electronic ignition from a later 440 distributor, electric box, and resistor. My question is can I use the old point coil or do I need to go with say a MSD blaster. Just don't know if there is a different OHM factor between the point coil and one for electronic ign. Thanks Atlas

Dont use the points coil .
You dont need a blaster, but IIRC the ballast is 1.5 OHM so get a 1.5 ohm coil , blaster or whatever and you should be good to go.
Fact is stranger than Fiction
