Maybe one of you guys can help me with this. I'm dropping a 97 vortec and 4L60E into a 91 sonoma that had a 700R4 with the electric speedo. The 91 system ran the eluctor signal through a DRAQ (DRAC?) module before sending it to the speedo. It looks like the 97 system runs the eluctor signal through the VCM, and from there directly to the speedo with no DRAQ.

Will I fry anything if I connect the 91 speedo directly to the VSS output from the VCM? Is this the right way to do it?
