eliminating the computer

Hey guys, I have the motor in my buick. I have one last task and that is to pull all the computer wires. I have a couple things I wonder about and was looking to see if any of you can help. On a motor that has a HEI dist and edelbrock carb and 1 wire alt what wires do I NEED to keep and so forth. I have the large power cable and 1 small one on the starter. 2 pink med on the starter soli. 1 med pink on the dist, and 1 med red from the batt and 1 med red on the alt. I have 1 more med red that I don't know if I need to hook up it seems to head through the fire wall into the car. If it needs to be hooked up the question I have is where? Thanks for any help. Vato

When I removed my computer I never touched any wires for charging or distributor.
My computer harness came into the engine bay on the pass. side and I just followed that disconnecting all the connectors associated with it.
Then I removed the rest of the harness from under the dash to engine bay.

You´ll need a non computer controlled HEI.

Would help to know what year/model of Buick you're talking about. The mind reading thing isn't working yet...

I thought that was in the profile but sorry. It is a 1985 buick regal that now has a 4.3 chevy V6. I was over working on it today a bit and think I have it all figured out but until the exhaust is done and I have it running smooth I think I will leave it be. I cant take the straight header sound to loud for me.
