hi i have a problem which i am sharing with you. Just got my ELM 327 and installed it all perfect. Im trying to use the software that come on cd (EasyOBDII) but it wont work. Ive plugged into car and the power light comes on on box, then plug into pc and open software and it says "PC Communication Port Okay - Com5" so i guess this is fine and on correct port, then it says "Interface Communication Faliure - Check Connections and Power". Ive done this, made sure all plugs are in tight and i did it woth ignition off, on and engine running. Whats the problem? The transmitting lights give one flash when i put the serial port into the box from car but thats it. I cant get anything on screen. Ive also tried digimoto and proscan but still cant get anything to connect properly. Ive reinstalled drivers but still nothing. HELP Pleaseeeeeeee. Im also running Xp Sp2. Anyone has this problem?

I split your post from the original posters thread to a new thread of your own, which should get you better results.
