Same thing I had in mind,but the lines are too deep to just use filler. I would have to weld a strip of metal all the way. I am still thinking about it but it would be a lot more work.

More updates on grill

I finished mounting the grill and the hood trim part of the grill.Still need to make my filler panel.

I have been busy moving my son's house and fixing other peoples cars so they can go to cruisin the coast in Mississippi.I have just started making my tailgate,updates soon. Thanks for your interest.

Making Progress

I had bungee chords holding the front end down and finally had time to put the factory hood latch system back on at the rear. I will shorten the cable later so it looks neater.

Building custom tail gate

I am building a tail gate to match the 54 tail lights.I started by making a frame to accept the stock hinges and latch.I had to narrow it because of the tail lights.

I still have to skin the inside and mount my plate and bumper and roll pan. Coming soon I hope. Now it is a 1953,54,55,56,74,94.

Thanks 123Pugsy and BoatBob.I just like being creative and working on older vehicles.And it is fun to watch people trying to figure out what it is.I build my vehicles the way I like them and they are drivers,but it is also very nice to have other people appreciate your work.
