Okay, well this will be my first time getting into the inner workings of the tranny. I did build this truck, and install this transmission with out any problems, so I feel comfortable with it. Are there any special tools I should get, or books you would reccomend for this transmission? I would like a step by step in a book, or to come with the part for this install and then I would feel completely comfortable.

the parts do not generally come with instructions for install.

The billet OD servo has instructions explaining the the use with various designs of 2nd gear servos to avoid problems.
Dont worry how old you are... it is the mileage on your body that adds up.

Thanks for the info Crosley. I guess it is time to get a book for this tranny and do some reading. Thanks for your help!

We made it back with only one snag... the trailer electric brake hung up briefly, so it didn't want to upshift to drive 'till after 3000 rpm. I pulled off again quickly, rocked the trailer, and it released. Back on the road in no time. Thanks for saving my gas money, and my transmission.

In a while, Chet.
