I accidentally mixed some Omni (MBC) urethane basecoat with acrylic enamel reducer instead of urethane reducer. Applied one coat and stopped. It seemed to work OK. I'm painting a gas door and some small parts so it's not a real big deal but I hate to throw away a a pint of paint if I don't have to.

I know urethane reducer will work in acrylic enamel. I do that regularly when I paint chassis parts and never have a problem but I always heard that you should never mix acrylic enamel reducer in urethane paint.

You will be fine at one coat, do your self a big favor and let that one coat set 24 hours before applying additional base.

I did not read our post in time and ended up waiting about 12 hours before reshooting. The biggest part was the underside of the hood. I resprayed with the correct urethane reducer and new paint/clear and it all worked out fine.
