what does tuned port injection do for the motor? does it help with horsepower and better gas millage or just power. would it be worth getting or should i stick with carberation on my 327. If i want to put a turbo on it later should i get special internal parts now or just wait until i get it.

Fuel injection is primarily in response to the need for more accurate fuel metering...better mileage and less polution. If you are on a budget and want power, I would stay with the carburetor. But motors with FI, if set up properly, usually idle better, get better mileage, can produce the same power and polute less.
