engine for 63 chevy

hey

i have a 63 chevy, and it needs put together. we need an engine for it, and we want it to be a head turner, with the really nice super chevy sound (thats the thuthump thuthump sound that bb's make). we were thinking any size from 327-454 but either way we go, its going to be big block and it will all be topped off with nitrous. so, needless to say, we want it to be a powerhouse. if anyone knows where to get a bigblock engine, drop me a line.

p.s.
whats a good nos system? we want the car to go as fast as humanly possible, but still be a street legal car.

For a Big-Block, I would first try Ebay.com do a search for "big block chevy" and see what you find. Next I would look in possibly salvage yards, I know a lot of old trucks had big blocks in them.

If you can find an old car/truck for really cheap with a good motor and buy it, steal the motor out of it and junk the rest. Sometimes you can find a whole car with a good motor for $500 or less.
