engine bay fire help

hey guys my cars turbo oil feed split and set the whole bay on fire but was contained in the bay itself

so if i clean bk to bare metal with flap disc whats the best procces to paint the engine bay

I think paint would be the least of my worries.

wires connectors and electronics would be my first priority.

however.....depending on what it is to bare metal and then a good etching primer then your color is about your only choice.

The process to paint the engine bay is the same as any other part. Strip it to bare metal. Follow paint manufacturer's directions as far as proper prep to apply epoxy primer. Once it is primed, then you can do whatever you need to get it ready for top coating.

Do not simply use an etch primer.

adkart is right, After bare metal, a good coat of epoxy primer followed by top coats. You can use either a single stage or bc/cc system.

i find it realy hard to get epoxy in scotland paint shops

could i make do with etch??

yes but after put on 3 coats of regular primer
