I think paint would be the least of my worries.
wires connectors and electronics would be my first priority. however.....depending on what it is to bare metal and then a good etching primer then your color is about your only choice. |

The process to paint the engine bay is the same as any other part. Strip it to bare metal. Follow paint manufacturer's directions as far as proper prep to apply epoxy primer. Once it is primed, then you can do whatever you need to get it ready for top coating.
