Engine blocks on West Coast?

Hey everyone,

I'm trying to hunt down a seasoned chevy 350 block with standard bore or freshly machined to .030

I'm having lots of trouble tracking anything down that's out West. It just costs too much to have something shipped from the East.

Anyone know of ANY leads to get me started?

I'd appreciate it. Thanks

Nicholas

Are you serious? Go to any auto pull salvage yard and you will have blocks for miles. I went on one of the half off days and got a complete 350 block from a 79 truck for like 60 bucks. Complete from carb to oil pan.

re: Engine blocks on West Coast?

Didn't you just ask this question last night as well? Did you not read the response?

Give Larry's Performance a call 323-722-8865. They are in Montebello. They sell 350 Chevy 4 bolt main blocks that are .030 over, honed, hot tanked, etc... fully prep'd (including freeze plugs and cam bearings). The price is $349.00 outright (no core). I don;t see how you can beat that.

Their website is www.larrysperformance.com

Royce

Did you give them a call? They are not to far from you and you could pick it up. If you are trying to beat that price you can forget it. You can find a 350 bare block (not machined) for $125 more for a virgin block, add machine work to that and you will easily be at $500.

I don't think the "email notification" works anyway. I've never gotten one anyway, ANYONE ever gotten one when their post has been answered?
