Engine casting numbers and vin numbers

Recently acquired a 81 Camaro Z28 accordinng to the vin. In reviewung the numbers on the block i became stumped. Looking for some help. Number at the left rear of the block ( casting number ) is GM 7 3970010. The number on the right front of the block is V0624TY7 TGF740229. The vin is 1G1AP87L4BN105993. Trying ti determine if the engine came with the car as well as what the specs are . Thanks in advance.

If it's TYT, it's a '75 block.

The date code at the back of the block should be "F 24 5"

Dipstick is on the right side, I don't understand why their are two sets of numbers in the same area. V0624TY7 TGF40229. Any ideas.

Thank you all very much. You have given me some great information. I don't understand the two (2) sets of numbers on the right front of the block. ( V0624TY7 TGF740229. Based on the info received, I can put to bed the thought that it was a number matching car. Have a great day.
