Engine Grounding...

..n00b question.. Where is the motor grounded. From the battery? The frame?

I ALWAYS ground my engines in 2 places, from one of the motor mount bolts to the frame and from one of the bell housing/trans bolts to the frame. I make them out of #1 or #0 gauge welding cable with copper battery terminal ends. Overkill I know, but I don't have electrical problems.

I use one from each valve cover bolt to the firewall, standard braided grounding straps.
